The session is about creating a concept board that captures my Zine attitude or atmosphere and then style using the images that I have created over the spring break SDS. My Zine theme is motivation. As I mentioned in my proposal, Self-motivation is complex, but at the same time, motivation could be anything. In my case, there are so many ways that I am enjoying and getting motivated. However, if I show all subjects where my motivation comes from, it will not unify, and the audience can’t catch what I am trying to express. I am still finding the best idea to create the concept that fits my theme and shows my strength in approaching the BA pathway.

When I presented to other classmates the creative direction of my ZINE, which discusses the direction of self and my interpretation, I thought that I was not clear enough in my concept. In addition, I got the feedback which is if I can show my ideas and transfer them to the theme, motivation will be better. My theme is quite tricky, so I am still struggling with how I can respond to the image’s motivation because communicating through the images is more complex than explaining them physically. I want to try to create a surprising concept for ZINE. In the next external session, I want to look at all the aspects of the location and take a lot of photos that capture the moves, attitude and atmosphere. I will plan some ideas for fashion shoots and styling that connect to PR ideas.
