The session was about further exploring the possibilities of the creative direction of your image content today, and we experimented with digital collages. It is a form of graphic art that uses virtual imagery and textures from different sources pieced and layered together in a program such as Photoshop into one final assembled image. I used the images that I have taken over the last few weeks. I don’t have enough knowledge about editing skills. I had some ideas, but I didn’t know how to apply the ideas to the photos through Photoshop. I want to explore as many opportunities to manipulate and edit images as SDS. One of my options for the pathway for the next year is creative direction. Therefore, I wanted to develop making unique collages further in my creative direction. I think the foremost definition for digital collage is like that of regular collage, with the only difference being that its creation is rooted in the use of technology. However, Digital or otherwise, collage art is how individuals can present the world differently. It also uses the same production technique used in making a conventional hand-made collage, creating a whole new artwork from an assemblage of existing artistic materials. I like how I can shape my own views and create their interpretations to share my unique perspective of the world with others. I think digital collage, in particular, is grounded in harmonious layering. This process aids in producing a cohesive composition through the combination of multiple unique images compared to other editing styles. I want to try to amplify the movements of my images and emotions with an artistic touch.

It is a fact technology has practically taken over modern society and is now an integral part of day-to-day life. As PowerPoint shows, fashion media is all about the image presented to the audience. I sometimes find it hard to believe that they were ever separate images when I see some artists’ works. I want to gather an assortment of images and brings them together in such a unified composition. I want to create an atmosphere or attitude to a product or brand through digital collages, and I want to develop how I can communicate a visual message and narrative.
