Session 10: Advertising pages

In the session, I created advertising pages relevant to a magazine and selected some brands to create relevant fashion advertising or campaign. It is the importance of fashion advertising in the apparel industry is immense. I think advertising activities are essential to introduce the garment products, fashions, and information to the buyer. Moreover, It is a marketing strategy that promotes any fashion or service to a potential customer. Fashion advertising aims to reach people with information about the fashion or service that creates a potential customer base. One of the purposes of advertising is to inform about fashion and increase the customer’s demand. Therefore, it can be said that it is a means of connecting users with a product or service. When I think about how I could approach that, I think the use of PR in a fashion business is necessary. PR can have a considerable competitive advantage. They can attract new customers and achieve growth. In my opinion, It is the job of the PR to understand the needs and goals of their clients, with the available budget, therefore creating plenty of media coverage to help the fashion company succeed. Moreover, Designers as brands and labels need PR. Without it, they would struggle to establish their brand values in the minds of their target consumers and the wider fashion industry.

As Carlyn told me, fashion PRs work closely with designers, undisputedly shaping and forming the company’s success. As positive brand awareness is generated through public word of mouth, PR is highly valuable for businesses as it offers positive coverage without advertising. In addition, public relations fundamentally enforce a good perception of a company, encouraging the reader and potential customer to believe that the company or product is of high quality. Therefore, I had to think about how I could keep in mind and be remembered by the customers. The reasons are retailers, fashionistas, and manufacturers are turning their attention to fashion advertising because incoming buyers see it and get ideas about fashion. They aim to create a brand through fashion advertising.
