Session 5: External session Local
We were taking the photoshoot at Shepherd’s Bush in this session, which is familiar. Therefore, I could develop some ideas on where to take photoshoots. On the other hand, I felt it difficult to create fresh ideas. Because when I go to the place which is different from usual, it will easy to make the photo looks fresh. There are many beautiful architectures or nature in the central or rural areas. They give the mood and help to create the masterpieces of work. I thought thinking about the concept and taking the photo at a predetermined place were challenging. Moreover, there is limited time.
On that day, the weather was perfect for a photoshoot. In my opinion, lighting is a key factor in creating a successful image. Lighting determines brightness and darkness and tone, mood, and atmosphere. Therefore, it is necessary to control and manipulate light correctly to get the best texture, vibrancy of colour, and luminosity on your subjects. By distributing shadows and highlights accurately, you can create stylised professional-looking photographs.
Moreover, angles in photography, intentionally used, define voice, presence and visual purpose. The angle chosen to capture a scene defines the commentary of my thinkings. How I choose to photograph the model, my choice of lens, and where I choose to put the objects or the model concerning the scene are factors that can change everything about an image. Because of that, these factors could make the image and tell my story. I think angles are no accident, and I need to explore them, use them, and my images will be stronger without fail. I will make use of this experience next time.
