I had the same feeling as the previous visual studies session. I think I like to illustrate with paint than I expected. When I see other student illustrations, they are totally different, and they have their own style. I was amazed by some people’s drawing skills. I want to expand more variety of illustrating techniques. I am not good at using pen and watercolours, so I used paints to illustrate the customised shoes last session. I think painting requires a long time. Thus, I tried to use colour pencils, pens and watercolours in this session. To my delight, the tutor complimented me, and I have a bit of confidence now. I want to continue to practice and be able to overcome my weakness. Before starting the illustration, I need to create the collages using the photocopies of my drawings. I know that I always struggle in college. Therefore, I asked the tutor to help and give some advice in collages. The first collages was unique, and I think I designed the shape successfully. However, when I moved to work on the second collages, I had no idea how to collect the pictures and design them. I want to improve my skills, but I don’t know. I will search and have a look at a lot of collages, and then I would like to gain my knowledge. I hope it will help not only collages and more about fashion.

When I was thinking about my pathway for the next year, I thought the illustration course could be one of my options, but at the same time, I thought I didn’t want to keep drawing, sketching and more. I also don’t want to work as an illustration. I want to use my drawing skills to express my ideas and tell the story when I need to use that.
