I liked the content of the session, and I had a fun time. At first, we did a warm-up exercise, which is five various timed drawings. Through that, I learnt how tough to draw with my left hand. One of my students in my group is ambidextrous, so his drawing was perfect. I felt I wished I could write with both handed. I also learnt that I’m not good at drawing quickly. Due to that, I always spend a lot of time completing illustration tasks. If I can speed up on drawing, I will have more spare time to do other SDS. I think depicting faster simply takes knowledge and practice. Speed comes by practising drawing with shapes, recognising spatial relationships, drawing with a larger muscle group, using the suitable medium, and omitting unnecessary details. Therefore, I hope to improve my drawing speed and accuracy by drawing as many different things using these concepts.

After the break, when I drew our groups’ customised shoes, I always enjoyed sketching when actual objects were in front of me, so basically, I like dessin. I also thought one of my friends was good at using a black pen. Her sketching is very simple, but there are some details if I see it closely. Some other people’s sketching is also excellent. I know that they already have learnt everything about drawing techniques in the art academy. On the other hand, I haven’t. Therefore, I felt I wanted to practice more and find my drawing style. Then I can improve my drawing skills.
