In the session, I quite enjoyed it, and I came up with many suggestions. I explained my thoughts to my groups to lead the task. When I had to work as a group, I wrote down our opinions and ideas in the paper. I don’t have confidence in my spelling, but I felt it was good practice to summarise all of the opinions. One of my students in my group was self-assertive. We understood what she tried to suggest, but I felt she got off the track. It was different from what we were supposed to think about for the task. In such a case, no one explained to her what we were supposed to work on. Therefore, I explained the content of the task to her again. I felt people don’t like to deny opinions or negate ideas, so I found out I liked pulling the team together. I want to continue to try to speak out and write down in the group session.
To do SDS, I need to plan to put together a customer profile to reflect the brand you have chosen to work for from your shop reports. I have to use words and images to illustrate your profile, but I’m not good at making visual range plan. I always struggle to transform my ideas visually. When I pick a merchandise product area, I need to be careful, brainstorm or mind map all the different merchandise or product categories, whether types I can think of products. Otherwise, If I fail to choose the complex product area, I make my own situation difficult. To be successful at fashion merchandising and show my ideas clearly in this task, I must have the right merchandise available at the right time and at the right price. With this focus, I can better understand which products consumers want, when, where, and how they make purchases, and what prices will drive the highest demand. As a result, effective fashion merchandising allows me to not only reach anticipated sales goals but also to deliver an excellent experience for the customers.
